Project Summary

Problem

This unprecedented Covid 19 has caused long-term operational issues and a severe decline in conversions for the tourism sector.

While travelers are often fueled by excitement and anticipation, underlying anxieties about airport procedures, safety concerns, and potential medical disruptions can persist.

Findings

Travelers with higher anxiety during the pandemic were more likely to seek destinations with advanced medical facilities.

Vietnamese social media users valued travel safety information from official sources.

Travel information networks on social media are fragmented, weakening information flow.

Recommendations

Governments & travel platforms should work together to provide dedicated medical facilities & clear COVID info via official channels, search engines & travel agencies.

Animated videos can improve communication for both locals & international tourists.

Encourage prominent travel vloggers to share official info and the campaign message.
